Rakitic urges Barcelona to benefit from Real Madrid’s experiences
The Croatian star, Ivan Rakitic, midfielder for Saudi Arabia’s Al Shabab Club, urged Barcelona to learn from Real Madrid. The 35-year-old player left Barcelona in the summer of 2020 after playing with them for 6 years, joining the Spanish club Sevilla, and then moving to Al Shabab Club in January 2024.
Rakitic stated, “Real Madrid has done everything well, step by step. Modric and Kroos are still leading the team. I am convinced that Gavi and Pedri will be the future of Barcelona and Spanish football, but I believe that the assistance we, as veteran players, could provide would be beneficial to them.”
He added, “I am convinced that all these young players, like Bellingham and his colleagues, greatly appreciate the daily learning they receive from Luka and Toni. There is no doubt that Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Federico Valverde will learn a lot from Kroos and Modric, which will serve them well now and in the future.”
